Medical Assistant The Medical Assistant (MA) supports healthcare providers by assisting with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures under supervision. They perform clinical and administrative duties to ensure smooth patient flow, enhance the patient experience, and maintain practice efficiency. Key Responsibilities Include Performing phlebotomy, supporting lab procedures, and assisting with patient intake and rooming.Supporting providers during procedures, preparing lab specimens, administering medications, and managing refills.Measuring vital signs, updating medications, placing lab orders, and documenting clinical information.Ensuring lab reports and patient data are current, providing patient instructions, and maintaining exam rooms and equipment.Communicating with providers, triaging calls, performing genetic blood tests, and supporting chart reviews and reporting.Performing administrative and patient care duties to support clinic operations and record accuracy. Qualifications Include High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited medical assisting program.At least two years of MA experience preferred.Certification through AAMA or AMT is required, along with BLS certification within 30 days.Knowledge of caring for acute and chronic patients, hemodynamics, and proficiency with EMR and chemo order software.
