We invite you to become part of our growing Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine specialty practice. Our close-knit team currently consists of three dedicated providers who are deeply passionate about caring for patients with respiratory conditions and sleep disorders. As we continue to grow, we are actively recruiting additional providers to help expand access to high-quality, compassionate care within our community. Our practice includes a satellite clinic and strong collaboration with our sister facility located just 30 minutes away, allowing for continuity of care and a supportive professional network. We take pride in fostering a collegial, team-oriented environment where providers truly support one another.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of provider, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors and communicates regarding changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Completes other tasks, within scope of position, as delegated by the practice leads, supervisors, managers or Market Director.

Requirements

• Current state certification as a certified or registered medical assistant.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, within 90 days of hire.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.

Harris Regional Hospital is an 86-bed acute care facility, including orthopedics, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, and emergency medicine, as well as sports medicine, physical therapy, imaging and laboratory services, and many other areas of subspecialty care.
