Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and equipment for treatment
  • Initiate testing and document results in the practice’s designated system
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and patient information
  • Support staff teamwork by assisting patients, visitors, and colleagues
  • Perform clinical intake including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation
  • Auxiliary in minor procedures and ensure accurate documentation
  • Educate patients on tests, medications, and diets
  • Monitor and manage inventory to ensure adequate supplies and functioning medical equipment
  • Resolve issues and work independently within the scope of certification
  • Communicate effectively by reading, writing, typing, speaking, and comprehending English
  • Exercise sound judgment, diplomacy, and maintain a professional demeanor

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of related work experience preferred
  • BLS (Basic Life Support - CPR Cert)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology
  • Knowledge of chronic disease management
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize internal and external resources
  • Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems
  • Ability to function and assist others in stressful, fast-paced environments and effectively apply stress management techniques
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, diplomacy, and a professional demeanor
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate by reading, writing, typing, speaking, and comprehending English effectively

Pay

This facility pays between $17.47 and $29.62 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
