Responsibilities

  • Extends the Healing Ministry of Christ by providing compassionate care to patients.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and employee information.
  • Supports staff teamwork by assisting patients, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Performs clinical intake, including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.
  • Assists with minor procedures and ensures accurate documentation.
  • Monitors and manages inventory to ensure adequate supplies and functioning medical equipment.
  • Provides educational guidance to patients regarding tests, medications, and dietary needs.
  • Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results.
  • Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, adhering to safety processes and policies.
  • Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
  • Stays updated on policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests.
  • Resolves issues and works independently within the scope of their certification.
  • Communicates effectively by reading, writing, typing, speaking, and comprehending English.
  • Exercises sound judgment, diplomacy, and a professional demeanor.
  • Exhibits physical abilities to function and assist others in stressful, fast-paced environments.

Requirements

  • High School Grad or Equivalent
  • 1+ Year of Related Work Experience (Preferred)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support - CPR Cert)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) (Required)

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology
  • Knowledge of chronic disease management
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize internal and external resources
  • Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems
  • Ability to function and assist others in stressful, fast-paced environments and effectively apply stress management techniques
  • Ability to resolve issues and work independently within the scope of their certification
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, diplomacy, and a professional demeanor
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing, typing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively to carry out job requirements
  • Experience with computers

Schedule

Full time, Monday-Friday, 7:30a-4p, 8a-4:30p, 8:30a-5p (schedule based on physician assigned to)

Pay

This facility offers a pay range of $17.47 - $29.62 per hour.
