About the role
Assists the physician and office staff with performance of patient care activities consistent with the established standards of nursing practice. The incumbent integrates the Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and suffering, respect for human life, and the dignity of each person into their work.
Responsibilities
- Carries out patient care activities as directed by the physician and office staff.
- Communicates with patients, families, visitors, and co-workers in a caring, friendly, personal, and professional manner.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current MA certification.
- One year of applicable patient care experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting.

- Proficiency with EHR systems and clinical documentation.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.
