About the role

The Clinical Support Specialist II is responsible for performing work in the clinical and administrative areas of the practice as needed.

Responsibilities

• Completes initial patient clinical assessment
• Performs and documents all office procedures (EKG, stress test, eye exam, ear irrigation, strep, urine, flu, blood collection, etc.)
• Performs needed immunizations and provide preventative services according to practice standing orders
• Assists provider by working within their scope of competence to fill in medications, place orders, complete in-basket tasks, return patient phone calls and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent required
• Post high school/medical studies with certifications as Medical Assistant (AAMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (AMT), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMMA) required
• Must obtain certification within 3 months of hire required
• Must hold and maintain active certification or registry in medical assisting
