Responsibilities
- Lead the clinical flow by preparing exam rooms and prioritizing patient transitions to ensure a seamless, stress-free experience for both the provider and the patient.
- Capture the patient’s story by accurately measuring vital signs and interviewing patients to ensure the care team has a clear, real-time clinical picture before every consultation.
- Master clinical documentation by transcribing diagnoses, orders, and follow-up instructions into the patient record, ensuring the accuracy of the care journey from start to finish.
- Optimize the care environment by managing essential supplies and materials, ensuring the team is always equipped to provide uninterrupted patient care.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date:
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP). American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT). American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required. Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Preferences
- Travel required within North and West Austin as needed.
- CMA experience and certification preferred.
- BLS certification preferred.
