Certified Medical Assistant I

About the role

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support healthcare teams by providing clinical and non-clinical patient services under the supervision of healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake, take vital signs, document medical information, and prepare examination rooms.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, and instructions to patients, and organize educational materials.
• Perform office duties such as answering phones, completing insurance forms, and act as a liaison with other departments.
• Collect laboratory specimens, perform phlebotomy (if qualified), and maintain inventory of immunizations.
• Provide immunizations as certified and support departmental quality initiatives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• 1-2 years of direct medical assistant experience or related healthcare work.
• Certifications such as BLS and CMA are preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with EHR systems.

Qualifications

Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, lifting, and manual dexterity.

Schedule

This is an onsite role involving day shifts.
