Job Description
Serving as part of a small, dedicated team performing outpatient interventional radiology procedures, you will assist with minimally invasive treatments on awake patients using fluoroscopy. Your responsibilities include:
- Preparation and check-in of patients for procedures.
- Assisting in the procedure room during 1-2 hour procedures.
- Monitoring patients in the postoperative observation area for approximately 30 minutes.
- Rotating between preoperative/postoperative and procedure room duties.
- Handling a caseload of 4-6 cases per day, two days per month.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a procedural setting.
- Comfortable with a dynamic environment and diverse tasks such as charting, vital signs monitoring, patient communication, sterile supply preparation, and adapting to changing situations.
- Ability to take initiative and contribute to the team as needed.
- Valid and current Medical Assistant Certification.
Hours
Part-time schedule: 2 days per month, 8am-5pm.
