Job Description
Serving as part of a small, dedicated team performing office-based procedures, you will assist with outpatient interventional radiology cases. These minimally invasive procedures are conducted on awake patients using fluoroscopy. Patients undergo standard pre-operative checks, proceed to the procedure room for a 1-2 hour procedure, and are monitored in post-op for approximately 30 minutes. One Medical Assistant will be responsible for pre-op/post-op duties, while the other handles the procedure room.
- Assist with charting and vital signs
- Talk with patients to prepare them for the procedure
- Open and manage sterile supplies in the procedure room
- Adapt to changing tasks and needs within the team
- Rotate between pre-op/post-op and procedure room duties
Qualifications
- Experience working in a procedural setting
- Comfortable with dynamic environments and diverse tasks
- Ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Valid and current Medical Assistant Certification
Hours
Part-time schedule: 2 days per month, 8am-5pm
