Certified Medical Assistant, Full Time, Day Shift

The Adventist Health Northwest Heart Center, located on our medical center campus, provides advanced cardiovascular care, bringing together expert providers, innovative treatments and compassionate support for patients across the region. Performs non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife.
Responsibilities
- Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients.
- Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care log for lab tests, referrals and transfers.
- Obtains vital signs, and reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physician.
- Performs audiometry and vision testing.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited institution
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or CHDP certificate (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy certificate (Preferred)
- Facility Specific: BLS certification from approved vendor per AH policy (Required)
- One of the following medical assistant credentials: CMA, CCMA, NCCT, CMA-NHA, NRCMA, RMA, MA, MA-AMT, EMT, NEMT (Required)
Requirements
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment (medical and religious exemptions may apply).
- Participate in E-Verify.
Pay
The estimated base pay for this position is $19.92 to $29.85 per hour. Additional individual compensation may be available through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
