About the role
The Certified Medical Assistant assists in the coordination and support of the physicians and/or other medical teams in the Cancer Center. Duties include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, basic screening, collecting information for medication reconciliation, assisting with procedures, scheduling, calling offices and acquiring records, chart prep, and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or documentation of training
- Current clinical experience in ambulatory care as a Certified Medical Assistant is strongly preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer skills including word processing, email etiquette, and use of EPIC
- Certified Medical Assistant – Graduated from a Medical Assistant Program with Certificate
- Within 1 year (or as soon as eligible) will take certification exam from National Health Career Association (AAMA), Certified Medical Assistant - California Certifying Board for Medical Assistants (CMAA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or National Allied Health and pass the exam
- Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association
Pay
$38.49 - $48.66 USD per hour

Salary range: $38.49 - $48.66 USD per hour
Schedule
Full-time, bi-weekly, 80 scheduled hours per week, working days.
