Certified Medical Assistant -Float Pool

About the role

Sentara Medical Group is offering a Sign-on Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants (CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT-Basic). This is a full-time Float Pool position covering Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake, with occasional travel to other areas based on staffing needs. Standard hours are Monday through Friday—8, 10, or 12-hour shifts. Differential pay is provided for travel and flexibility.

Perform patient care and administrative/clerical tasks under the direction of a Physician, NP/PA, RN, or LPN.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred)
• Active certification as CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (Required)
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
• 1 year of clinical or administrative experience
• Phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
