About the Role

A Certified Medical Assistant / Registered Medical Assistant provides routine administrative and patient care support in a medical setting to assist healthcare staff and ensure smooth office operations.

Qualifications

• Must hold certifications such as NRCMA, CCMA, RMA, CMA, and BLS
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Room patients, gather medical histories, and perform clinical procedures (e.g., urine catheterization, suture removal, cast application)
• Provide patient education and instructions
• Handle telephone interactions, coordinate appointments, verify benefits, and assist with referrals and test scheduling
• Administer medications, support prescription refills, and communicate lab results to patients
• Maintain clinical skills, order supplies, and perform procedures like ear irrigation
