Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Primary Care of Villa Rica (Days)

About the role

Responsible for rendering clinical care within the medical practice in support of and as directed by the physician. Assists in the day-to-day operation of the office to ensure quality patient care.

Clinical care includes patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Render clinical care under physician direction
• Assist in daily office operations to ensure quality patient care
• Perform patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (AMT); acceptable certifications also include NCCT, ARMA, AAH, ASPT, NRCMA, NAHP, or NHA
• Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire
• Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, employees, and physicians
• Cognitive ability to understand medical records, physician’s orders, and medical instructions
• Discipline to work by accepted clinical standards

Qualifications

• Six months of experience preferred
• Prior experience performing x-rays and EKGs preferred
• MA or nursing school may be used as part of the required experience
