Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Pediatrics

About the role

Child Health Associates is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join their pediatric team in Auburn, MA. The practice is a busy, well-established facility that values teamwork, respect, and creating a positive experience for both patients and employees.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, height, weight, and other routine measurements
• Perform hearing and vision screenings
• Collect specimens and assist with point-of-care testing
• Administer clinic-approved medications
• Absorb and document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies
• Support laboratory workflows, including specimen processing and test reporting
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and team members to support exceptional patient care

Requirements

• Current Medical Assistant Certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pediatric, primary care, or outpatient experience preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinical environment
• Positive attitude and commitment to providing compassionate care

Qualifications

Pay

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Consistent 4-day workweek
• One evening shift per week until 7:00 PM
• One weekday off each week
