About the role

Axia Women's Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at South Jersey Fertility Center in Marlton, NJ. The center operates under the guidance of Axia Women's Health patient protocol and care center physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to OSHA guidelines and standardized quality control methods, preparing exam/procedure rooms between patient visits, cleaning rooms, setting up instruments and equipment, and maintaining and cleaning sterilizers according to a scheduled maintenance program.
  • Accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms, assist as needed with walking transfers or dressing, and maintain patient records by accurately recording patient medical history, obtaining, and recording patient vital signs, symptoms, complaints, and medications, etc., and obtaining and scanning any lab or imaging reports, as well as any hospital notes into the EMR.
  • Perform venipuncture and collect specimens as needed, assist providers with various procedures and screenings, relay instructions and pertinent information to patients, and complete form/requests as needed to ensure patient records are accurate and claims can be properly billed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Phlebotomy skills.
  • Ability to independently obtain patient vital signs.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail & communication skills.
  • Successful ability to work with teams across the business to maximize the impact of the overall business effort.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and at satellite location(s) where applicable, as needed.

Education & Experience

  • High school Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
  • Successful completion as a Medical Assistant, such as CMA, CCMA, RMA or NCMAA required.
  • CPR/BLS Certification required.

Pay or shift range

$18 USD to $23 USD
