Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) General Surgery

About the role

Lourdes Medical Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support our patients and community members. The ideal candidate will assist with patient assessments and treatments, perform basic diagnostic procedures, communicate changes in patient condition, document patient care, maintain equipment and supplies, and handle administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments under the supervision of physicians or nurses.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Handles administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current WA CCMA or CMA certification, must be obtained within the hire date.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certificate, must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Skills

Must possess strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.

Pay

Hourly wage range: $19.38-$26.89 per hour.

Schedule

Days M-F (5X8s).
