About the role

This role involves assisting in patient examination and treatment under physician guidance, maintaining patient flow, and accurately documenting medical information in electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient charts and obtain medical histories
• Update medication lists and manage diagnostic test results and reports
• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and operating diagnostic equipment
• Conduct phlebotomy and assist with procedures like EKGs and cast removal
• Refill medications and coordinate with pharmacies and insurance
• Handle patient communications and schedule appointments
• Maintain a safe, confidential, and organized clinical environment
• Travel between offices as needed

Requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant healthcare experience
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability to changing priorities and environments
• Professionalism and adherence to legal and quality standards

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience (preferred)
• Proficiency in clinical skills such as phlebotomy and vital sign measurement
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
