Certified Medical Assistant - CMA - Cardiology

Role Overview: This position involves providing outpatient clinical and administrative support as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Key Responsibilities Performing direct patient care such as preparing patients, taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, and supporting patient safety and privacy.Conducting clinical tasks including EKGs, wound dressings, phlebotomy, and specimen collection, adhering to policies and demonstrating competency.Supporting administrative functions like patient scheduling, documentation, billing inquiries, referrals, and coordinating communication between patients and providers.Maintaining infection control protocols, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring exam rooms are ready and disinfected.Assisting with orientation of new staff and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GED required; specialty training preferred.Certified or registered as a Medical Assistant by recognized governing bodies such as NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, or AMCA.Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
