Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)- Augusta Reproductive Medicine
About the Role
Performs assigned patient care duties under the direction of a licensed provider (MD/PA/NP) or RN. Responsible for performing CMA clinical duties to include, but not limited to: obtaining vital signs, administering a limited profile of medications/injections per approved policy, performing simple diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, cleaning equipment, ordering/stocking supplies, and maintaining exam rooms in an outpatient care setting. Assists in emergency situations as directed by a licensed provider or RN. Duties are practice site specific and may fluctuate based on location. This position does require weekend call.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization with completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
- Certified as a Medical Assistant by one of the following bodies: AAMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or MedCA.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Ability to work with all age groups.
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
- Skills in phlebotomy, EKG, and manual BP.
Schedule
Day shift (United States of America). This position requires weekend call.
