About the role
Provide direct patient care, support clinical operations, and ensure accurate documentation in an outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and document patient information
- Prepare examination rooms and assist with patient preparations
- Perform EKGs, wound dressings, phlebotomy, and minor procedures
- Administer medications (excluding IVs)
- Complete lab tests
- Support patient education and communication
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, referrals, pre-authorizations, co-pay collection, inventory management, and maintaining medical records
- Follow infection control protocols and sterilize instruments
- Ensure equipment functionality
- Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Assist in onboarding new personnel
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification by a recognized governing body (CMA or RMA)
- Proficiency in clinical procedures, laboratory specimen handling, and EMR documentation
