Certified Medical Assistant - Cancer Infusion Center

About the role

Chesapeake, Virginia. This position is eligible for our new team member incentive program; new full‑time CMA team members may receive a bonus of up to $1,000 during their first year with Riverside Health System.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in providing quality care in a medical office setting.
• Demonstrate knowledge to provide age‑appropriate care for patients across the life span.
• Interpret patient assessments in relation to principles of growth and development.
• Apply health insurance guidelines for preauthorizations and referral processes.
• Schedule testing and specialist visits within network guidelines.

Requirements

• Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience (preferred).
• Current CPR Certification (required).
• Medical Assistant Certification/Registration (strongly preferred).
• One year of clinical medical office experience (preferred).

Pay

Hiring range: $20.40 – $26.55 per hour. Actual pay is determined based on job‑related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs. Eligible for a new team member incentive program with a potential bonus of up to $1,000 in the first year.
