Certified Medical Assistant
About the Role
Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center (VNACJ CHC) offers comprehensive, community-based, preventive, primary care, and wellness services for New Jersey residents of all ages at four convenient locations. We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at our Red Bank, NJ location. This full-time role supports patient care within the Primary Care Department and involves travel between our four Community Health Center locations to ensure consistent, compassionate care for every patient we serve. The position includes an evening and weekend rotation.
Responsibilities
- Supports the organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of the job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationships with co-workers.
- Assists providers with patient workflow and maintains clinical records.
- Executes orders and performs related duties as directed according to standard operating procedures.
- Maintains laboratory proficiency and required log books and records.
- Assists in coordination, management, and documentation of medications, supplies, and referrals.
- Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies.
- Follows the organization’s policies regarding absenteeism and appearance.

Requirements & Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved school.
- Six months or more of supervised medical assistant experience preferred.
- Experience in EKG and phlebotomy.
- CPR certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license and auto insurance.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
Working indoors with the following equipment: telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, printer, centrifuge, electric exam table, glucometer, nebulizer, needles/syringes, oxygen equipment, personal automobile, scales, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, thermometer, venipuncture equipment, and wheelchair.
Pay
In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the compensation range for this position is USD $16.00 to USD $24.00 per hour. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions.
