About the role

The Medical Assistant at Virginia Mason Medical Center will play a crucial role in keeping the day running smoothly and efficiently for both patients and the clinical team. You will be responsible for proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date, and managing multiple patients daily.

Responsibilities

• Proactively prepare patient charts, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Manage multiple patients daily, coordinating with the clinical team to ensure smooth operations.
• Take the lead on obtaining necessary patient information and preparing them for their appointments.
• Ensure all patient documentation is complete and organized.
• Work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
• Show enthusiasm and empathy towards patients.
• Work flexible hours, including 10-hour shifts.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
• Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant - Certified (CM).
• Strong aptitude for detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Skilled in using a PC.

Preferred

• One year Medical Assistant – Certified experience.
