Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
The Vein and Vascular Institute is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing team. We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced specialty practice and is committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Experience in a vascular, vein, surgical, or other specialty practice is preferred, although candidates with strong outpatient clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients in a friendly, professional, and compassionate manner.
- Prepare patients for examination by obtaining vital signs, documenting medical history, symptoms, and patient concerns in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Aid physicians and advanced practice providers during office visits and clinical procedures.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout each visit.
- Prepare procedure rooms and maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment.
- Prepare medications and solutions for injections as directed by the provider.
- Schedule diagnostic testing, laboratory work, and follow-up appointments as needed.
- Travel to satellite office locations as required (travel reimbursement provided when applicable).
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
- Follow HIPAA and practice policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with providers and team members to deliver outstanding patient care.
- Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- Current BLS/CPR Certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a specialty practice, vascular/vein practice, surgical office, or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Professional, courteous, and patient-focused demeanor.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Ability to work independently while contributing as a collaborative team member.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between office locations as needed.
Compensation
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
