About the role
Under general supervision and according to established procedures, provides basic medical assistance to physicians/providers and nurses by providing basic preparation of patients according to area specific Policy and Procedures including but not limited to vital signs, chart preparation, phlebotomy, procedure assistance and lab sample collection. Utilizes department specific computer systems for entry and retrieval of patient data.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for examination and treatment according to area specific Policy and Procedures
- Collects and records vital signs
- Prepares and maintains patient charts
- Assists with phlebotomy and lab sample collection
- Performs administrative tasks using department specific computer systems
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Less than one year of previous work related experience
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Maintain current certification or registration from an accredited institution, e.g.: AAMA, NHA, AMT
- Bilingual preferred

- Salary range provided to comply with New Jersey Law
