Job Summary

Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Floating when needed, mileage reimbursement offered. Certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Provide an environment for safety; identify, address, and incorporate principles of safety for the patient, visitors, and employees.
• Provide patient care tasks and procedures and administrative duties (as appropriate).
• Objectively assess a specific situation from a few viewpoints, consider an array of alternatives, assist with the development of realistic action plans, and evaluate outcomes.
• Develop the specific skills and knowledge required of medical assistants.
• Maintain effective inter-departmental interactions and follow department and system policies, procedures, and practices.
• Be productive and efficient in daily operations.
• Utilize appropriate resources that are safe, effective, ethical, and fiscally responsible.

Requirements

• High School Diploma OR equivalency (Required)
• Must have one of the following on the first day of employment: Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or Certified EMT (EMT-B)
• BLS within 90 days of hire date
