Certified Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and prepare them for exams and procedures, ensuring a warm and professional environment.
• Accurately record patient information, medical histories, and vital signs in electronic health records (EHR).
• Absorb and provide patients with educational information regarding procedures, treatments, and preventative care.
• Help manage appointments, follow-up calls, and patient communications efficiently.
• Will be responsible for prior authorization and checking benefit information prior to any procedure.
• We provide patients with detailed information regarding any test results.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting.
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current.
• Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization required.
• Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.
• One year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting, preferred.
