About the role

Responsibilities
- Use impeccable C-I-CARE in all patient interactions, ensuring a positive in-office experience through patient intake, same day schedule management, appropriate follow-up scheduling, and strong knowledge of billing and insurance.
- Provide best-in-class venipuncture services on a population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, depending on the office location.
- Perform and assist with extended scope duties such as EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs.
- Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization.
- Continue to care for our members beyond the lab room by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting our providers and virtual medical team with clerical duties.
- Contribute to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, participating in team problem-solving, supporting in-office providers with ad hoc asks, and performing opening and closing duties/daily office upkeep.
- Master our technology suite including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, Circulation, RingCentral, and our Electronic Medical Record System, to interact with team members and complete daily work.
Requirements
- An active Medical Assistant certification from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), the National Certification Medical Association (NCMA), or registration from the American Medical Technologists (AMT), or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment.
- Strong customer service skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer technology such as typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously.
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus).

Pay
The range for this role is $24.00 to $26.00 per hour based on a standard full-time schedule. Total compensation packages may be based on factors unique to particular candidates, such as skill sets, depth of experience, and work location. Schedule
This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) with 8-hour shifts generally taking place Monday - Friday between 7:30am-6:00pm based in our Edgewater, NJ office.
