Schedule
Monday – Friday daylight, no weekends, no major holidays.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and collect vital signs.
- Review patient medication lists and medical/social histories.
- Collect specimens and perform basic laboratory tests.
- Administer injections and medications as directed by provider.
- Perform other clinical tasks as needed.
- Order supplies and update/maintain medical records.
- Obtain referrals/authorizations and schedule appointments.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant Certification (e.g., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA).
- CPR Certification.
- Computer experience.
- Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant diploma or degree program.
- Minimum of one year of medical assisting experience.
- Proficient in venipuncture.
