Responsibilities
- Rooms patients
- Collections vital signs
- Reviews patient medication list and medical/social history
- Collections specimens and performs basic laboratory tests
- Administers injections and medications as directed by provider
- Performs other clinical tasks as assigned
- Orders supplies
- Updates/maintains medical records
- Obtains referrals/authorizations
- Schedules appointments
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA)
- CPR certified
- Computer experience
- Clearances completed within 90 days of employment
- Medical Assistant diploma or degree preferred
- One year of medical assisting experience
- Proficient in venipuncture
