Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for orthopedic examinations and procedures
- Record patient history, vital signs, and orthopedic-specific information
- Instruct patients on pre-operative (pre-op) and post-operative (post-op) care and medication regimens
- Help in orthopedic procedures, including bandaging, splinting, and wound care
- Facilitate diagnostic tests, imaging tests (e.g., X-rays, MRIs) and ensure accurate documentation of results
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, including sterilization and inventory management of medical supplies and equipment
- Schedule patient appointments, manage charts, and update Electronic Medical Records (EHR) systems with patient information
Qualifications
- MEDICAL ASSISTANT SCHOOL OR VOCATIONAL TRAINING
- MINIMUM ONE YEAR WORK EXPERIENCE IN PUBLIC CONTACT JOB
- WORK EXPERIENCE IN HEALTH CARE PREFERRED
- CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT (CMA) CERTIFICATION
- CURRENT BCLS (AHA) CERTIFICATE UPON HIRE AND MAINTAIN CURRENT
