About the role
CoreCivic is seeking Certified Medical Assistants who provide high-quality care in an institutional setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer medication to inmates/residents under the direct supervision of the Health Services Administrator.
- Obtain, monitor, record and report vital signs and patient's condition as needed.
- Prepare patients for physical exams, procedures and treatments.
- Auxiliary work in confined areas, including rotating shifts and securing the facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
- State certification as a Medical Assistant in the state of employment or meet state guidelines for exceptions to certification.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years of age.
