About the Role

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will be a vital pillar of our care team, significantly impacting patient well-being through direct support and seamless coordination. You will collaborate on comprehensive screenings, assist with clinical procedures, provide essential health education, and expertly manage administrative tasks while leveraging technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations. You will ensure patients feel at ease by explaining instructions and addressing their concerns.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong clinical knowledge, technological fluency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable spirit focused on continuous learning and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
  • Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
  • Obtain and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, current medications, and presenting problem.
  • Draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis (if required).
  • Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.
  • Perform routine tests including EKGs (if required).

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED upon hire.
  • One of the following certifications upon hire:
    • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
    • Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA)
    • Certified Medical Assistant (NHA)
    • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT)
    • National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant (NAHP)
    • Registered Medical Assistant (AMT)
    • Registered Medical Assistant
    • Certified Medical Assistant (MMCI)
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

Preferred: 1 year of experience.

Pay

$17.71 - $25.02 per hour.
