Certified Medical Assistant

Aspire Rural Health System is hiring a full-time Certified Medical Assistant for Caro Pain Management in Caro/Deckerville, MI. This role offers full benefits and operates on day shifts.

About the role

The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of patient care tasks, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting the provider as necessary. The candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while providing quality patient care to all ages and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Assist the provider as needed
• Use the EMR system for tasks such as registering patients and scanning medical records
• Verify insurance information
• Phone patients with results
• Ensure proper medical documentation

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a physician’s office
• Certification as a CMA, CCMA, or RMA is preferred
• Positive attitude and ability to engage patients warmly
• Team player and problem solver
• Ability to interact positively and proactively at all organizational levels, including with physicians
