Certified Medical Assistant

Aspire Rural Health System is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest quality of service to both our patients and employees at our Aspire Dermatology location in Marlette, MI.

About the role

The primary purpose of this full-time, days position is to perform a variety of patient care related tasks in a fast-paced environment while providing quality care to all ages and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs
• Assist the provider as necessary
• Use the EMR system for tasks such as registering patients and scanning medical records
• Perform insurance verification
• Phone patients with results
• Ensure proper medical documentation

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a physician’s office
• CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification is preferred
• Great attitude and ability to engage patients positively
• Team player and problem solver
• Ability to interact positively and proactively at all levels of the organization and with all physicians
