About the role

Candidates must be permanent in the Computer Specialist (Software) civil service title to apply. Under direct supervision, with latitude for independent action and judgment, you are responsible for performing technical and related responsibilities in applications development, planning, designing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, integrating, performance monitoring, maintaining, enhancing, and support various computer applications programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance various computer applications programs using Microsoft Power Platform, Azure cloud services, and other relevant technologies.
• Lead and migrate existing 2016 CRM code to MS Dynamics 365 leveraging Power platform, Power automate, Power BI, GitHub, and Azure SQL.
• Ensure security, maintenance, and performance of application environments, including SQL server (SQL 2019, 2022, Azure SQL).
• Contribute to process improvements, research, and proof of concepts, and provide recommendations for new technologies.
• Administer, upgrade, support, and maintain servers and application servers, including IIS web services, load balancing, internal/external servers, performance monitoring, and optimization.
• Monitor performance requirements of applications and implement strategies to improve operations and maintain procedures and processes.
• Perform ongoing maintenance, diagnostic, and troubleshooting of applications to ensure reliability.
• Integrate applications with Azure services and set up and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Contribute to project planning and technical documentation.
• Provide creative solutions to problems and demonstrate a proactive, self-directed, and results-oriented approach.

Requirements

• Microsoft Power Platform developer with extensive experience in designing, development, and maintenance.
• Working knowledge and understanding of Azure cloud services with Azure logic Apps.
• Experience as an Azure technical lead for cloud platform, mentoring, supporting, and teaching a team of cloud engineers.
• One year of satisfactory experience in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Microsoft full stack developer, including but not limited to: Visual Studio Frameworks:.NET, ASP.NET, VB.NET - C#.NET - Object Oriented Design, MS Azure DevOps, Dynamic CRM, MS power platform, power automation, GitHub, DevOps, Python, Power BI, Power Apps, Microsoft Flow, Power Automate, Azure Logic apps, Azure AI design, MS SQL development and administration, SSRS/SSIS implementation, MS Team Foundation Server /GitHub.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, including or supplemented by twenty-four (24) semester credits in computer science or a related computer field and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time software experience in designing, programming, debugging, maintaining, implementing, and enhancing computer software applications, systems programming, systems analysis and design, data communication software, or database design and programming, including one year in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project.
• A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six (6) years of full-time satisfactory software experience as described in "1" above, including one year in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project.
• A satisfactory combination of education and experience that is equivalent to (1) or (2) above. College education may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience in (2) above on the basis that sixty (60) semester credits from an accredited college is equated to one year of experience.
• A masters degree in computer science or a related computer field may be substituted for one year of the required experience in (1) or (2) above.
