About the role

Spurwink is hiring a Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) for its new Lewiston Crisis Center. The center provides a supportive environment for individuals aged 14+ dealing with urgent behavioral health issues, offering stabilization, observation, assessment, and short-term intervention.

Responsibilities

  • Use Intentional Peer Support (IPS) practices to build connections and trust.
  • Share a lived experience ethically to normalize crisis experiences.
  • Collaborate with crisis workers and other team members.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A CIPSS certification and/or Certified Recovery Coach certification are preferred.
  • Peer support work experience is required.
