Certified Hyperbaric Technologist/Hyperbaric Safety Director

About the role

The Certified Hyperbaric Technologist/Safety Director oversees hyperbaric treatments, ensuring all safety policies and procedures are followed. This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing Safety and Regulatory standards to facilitate a safe environment for patient care, adhering to Standards of Practice, policies, and NFPA99.

Serves as the key resource for staff regarding safety, maintenance, and system compliance for the hyperbaric program. Ensures the quality of patient hyperbaric treatments, staff training and competencies, and adherence to standards of care and safety in hyperbaric treatment delivery while maintaining patient and environmental safety at all times.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hyperbaric treatments to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement Safety and Regulatory standards in adherence to NFPA99 and other relevant guidelines.
• Serve as the primary resource for staff on safety, maintenance, and system compliance for the hyperbaric program.
• Ensure the quality of patient hyperbaric treatments and adherence to standards of care and safety.
• Maintain patient and environmental safety at all times.
• Provide staff training and ensure competencies are met.

Requirements

• Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) certification.
• Completion of required medical screening, background check, and drug test.
