Certified Hyperbaric Technologist/Hyperbaric Safety Director

About the role

The Certified Hyperbaric Technologist/Safety Director oversees hyperbaric treatments, ensuring all safety policies and procedures are followed. This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing safety and regulatory standards to facilitate a safe environment for patient care, adhering to Standards of Practice, policies, procedures, and NFPA99.

Serves as the key resource for staff regarding safety, maintenance, and system compliance for the hyperbaric program. Ensures the quality of patient hyperbaric treatments, staff training and competencies, and adherence to standards of care and safety in hyperbaric treatment delivery while maintaining patient and environmental safety at all times.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hyperbaric treatments to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement safety and regulatory standards for hyperbaric patient care.
• Ensure adherence to Standards of Practice, policies, procedures, and NFPA99.
• Serve as the primary resource for staff on safety, maintenance, and system compliance for the hyperbaric program.
• Maintain the quality of patient hyperbaric treatments.
• Provide staff training and ensure competencies in hyperbaric treatment delivery.
• Uphold standards of care and safety in all hyperbaric treatments.
• Maintain patient and environmental safety at all times.

Requirements

• Must complete and pass required medical screening, background check, and drug test.
