About the role

Visiting Angels of Kirkland is hiring Certified Homecare Aides (HCA) to serve clients throughout Kirkland, Redmond, Woodinville, Bothell, Kenmore, West Seattle, Des Moines, Normandy Park, Sammamish, and surrounding areas. As part of the nation’s #1 network for at‑home care, you’ll enrich clients’ quality of life and support their wellness according to custom care plans.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients, respecting dietary constraints.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments/errands.
• Opportunities for advanced training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for client transportation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties.
• Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and supporting clients.
• Comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints.
• Willingness to comply with state and office‑specific health and safety standards (e.g., background check).
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day.
• HCACNA exemption letter with active NAR (if applicable).

Pay

Hourly rate ranges from $18.00 to $22.00, with weekly payroll.

Schedule

• Shifts available 7 days a week.
• Morning, Mid‑Day, Evening, Overnight, and Live‑in options.
