Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) - PRN

About the role

As a Hospice Certified Home Health Aide (CNA/HHA) with Lighthouse Hospice, you will play a vital role in the lives of our patients, working under the guidance of a registered nurse to provide essential services and ensure their comfort and well-being. Your observant and caring nature will be instrumental in maintaining the quality, continuity, and safety of our patients' care.

Schedule

15–20 hours per week

Coverage Area

Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties

Responsibilities

• Follow the carefully crafted plan of care to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients
• Attend promptly to patient and family/caregiver requests with compassionate support
• Assist with personal care needs: bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding and clothing, and shampooing
• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure optimal patient satisfaction
• Support families by sharing knowledge and guiding them in caring for terminally ill loved ones
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• Valid Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) license OR Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required
• Minimum of 6 months experience in hospice or skilled nursing facility preferred
• Hospice experience a plus
• Current CPR certification if state-mandated
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation

Pay

$19.50 – $24.50 per hour (average pay range). Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and specific responsibilities and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
