About the Role
Right at Home is seeking a Skilled Certified Home Health Aide or Companion Caregiver to provide compassionate and meaningful care in Middlesex, Mercer, and Northern Monmouth Counties. Help seniors stay at home and age in place by supporting their daily activities. Certified Home Health Aides must be detail-oriented, follow care protocols, and adhere to instructions from doctors and nurses. They should be trustworthy, dependable, and able to make patients and their families feel comfortable.
Requirements
- High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
- NJ Licensed as Certified Home Health Aide (required)
- 2-step PPD
- Physical within the last 12 months
- MMR
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
- Reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily functions such as dressing or bathing
- Plan and organize doctor’s appointments and transportation
- Perform light housekeeping (dusting, mopping, laundry, etc.)
- Prep and cook meals
- Grocery shopping
- Report to nurses about patients' health status
- Teach patients self-care skills
- Record and report medically necessary data
- Available for facility work, hourly, and live-in shifts
Pay
Salary: $18–20 per hour (depending on experience and case)
Schedule
- Full-time, part-time, and per-diem shifts available
- Weekend and overnight shifts available
- Flexible scheduling—choose your hours
