Certified Home Health Aid
About the role
Right at Home, In-Home Care & Assistance, is seeking to hire a Skilled Certified Home Health Aide or Companion Caregiver to make a difference by providing compassionate and meaningful care in the areas of Middlesex, Mercer and Northern Monmouth Counties. Help seniors stay at home and age in place by providing support with their daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Help patients in a variety of ways.
- Record and report data as medically necessary.
- Aid with daily functions such as dressing or taking a bath.
- Assist with planning for doctor's appointments, other meetings, and organize transportation.
- Perform facility work, including light housekeeping tasks like dusting, mopping, laundry, preparing and cooking meals, grocery shopping, and reporting patients' health status to nurses.
- Teach patients self-care skills.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
- NJ Licensed as Certified Home Health Aide a must.
- 2-step PPD test within the last 12 months.
- MMA certification.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
- Reliable transportation.
