About the role

JCC Greater Boston, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community, seeks a Floater Teacher to support the Gilson Early Learning Center in Sharon, MA. The Floater Teacher will contribute to a comprehensive curriculum focusing on social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe and nurturing environment where children can play, learn, and take risks.
  • Work in partnership with Early Learning Center Directors and peers to co-create a collaborative, dynamic, positive, and innovative classroom culture.
  • Partner and communicate with families to ensure the best care and education for the children.
  • Adhere to all EEC regulations and guidelines.
  • Partnership with JCC leadership and other departments to support JCC Greater Boston organizational goals and model JCC values.

Requirements

  • EEC certified
  • 35 hours per week
  • Current rate is $21.00-$22.00, with final rate determined by scope of position, relevant experience, and internal equity.

  • Strong organizational skills, including teamwork, relationship-building, multitasking, and managing situations effectively and diplomatically
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability and commitment to build strong relationships with families, co-workers, ELC leadership, and JCCGB colleagues
  • Ability to build a dynamic environment where play and learning are a top priority
  • Computer literate

Pay

The current rate is $21.00-$22.00 and 35 hours per week. The rate offered will ultimately be determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity.

Schedule

This posting is for a 10-month school year (September-June).
