Certified Flight Instructor CFII - Price
USU’s Aviation Technology program offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Professional Pilot and Maintenance Management. The program combines cutting-edge technology with exceptional training to produce highly skilled pilots and technicians for the aviation industry.
Professional Pilot graduates earn all Federal Aviation Administration certifications and are trained as commercial pilots. Training is conducted in Diamond Aircraft equipped with glass cockpits and the latest instrument and navigation technology. The Regional Jet Flight Simulator provides hands-on experience in flying a commercial airliner. A nine-week private pilot summer program is also available for students seeking to accelerate their career goals before the semester begins.
Maintenance Management majors complete coursework required for FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) licenses, along with studies in aviation law, human factors in aviation safety, and management. The curriculum includes business-focused courses in management and communications to develop essential professional skills. Graduates pursue careers as maintenance technicians, supervisors, FAA inspectors, repair station managers, and roles with airlines, aerospace manufacturers, and component manufacturers.

- Instruct aviation students in Part 141 flight operations
Requirements
- Completed certified flight training
- Must have Part 141 experience/time
- CFII required within 6 months of hire date
- Preference given to candidates with current CFII certification

Work Environment
The role may involve both indoor and outdoor settings. Indoor work occurs in offices, event spaces, or public areas, which are climate-controlled but may experience temperature fluctuations. Outdoor work may expose incumbents to extreme heat, cold, and weather conditions. Additional environmental factors include:
- Prolonged sitting and repetitive hand movements (e.g., typing)
- Exposure to loud noises, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, gases, or poor ventilation
- Confined or narrow spaces for extended periods
- Physical demands such as bending, crawling, crouching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing or walking for long durations
