ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides comprehensive financial planning advice to both banking and non-banking clients in such a way as to provide unbiased financial recommendations to all types of clients.
- Should be perceived as a knowledgeable and trusted advisor on matters relating to investment planning, retirement planning, education funding planning, and estate planning.
- Should be able to provide clients a detailed analysis of their needs as well as a strategy to implement this plan.
- Analyzes and models clients current financial track and evaluates their current investment holdings in relation to underlying plan.
- Analyzes and recommends additional banking products and services.
- Develops deliverable plan for client presentation.
- Independently assesses and clearly communicates appropriate recommendations on both strategy and products to the financial consultant.
- Collaborates with the advisor to finalize planning/investment recommendations for the client.
- Meets with prospective/existing clients when needed to deliver planning presentation as needed.
- Works in conjunction with the broker/dealer firm LPL Financial, and is responsible for maintaining a high degree of professional and ethical behavior.
- Performs due diligence and research on various investments (funds, ETF’s, Equities, Bonds, Annuities, Alternatives) and reports findings.
- Analyzes existing investment portfolios for advisors and makes appropriate recommendations on changes or strategy.
- Utilizes LPL technology to assist advisors in trading re-balancing client accounts.
- Maintains and monitors various internal reports for both timeliness and accuracy (fund flows, activity reporting, client performance etc).
- Works with internal marketing and external 3rd party vendors to create, maintain and enhance client deliverables, including but not limited to LPL Clientworks, E-Money, Morningstar, etc.
- Demonstrates compliance with banking laws and regulations as defined in company policies and procedures pertinent to position.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree with a financial/business concentration or a minimum of 5 – 7 years of related financial services experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Demonstrated Microsoft applications skills (Word and Excel), verbal/written communication skills, ability to perform effectively in an environment where confidentiality, maturity, sound judgment, initiative, and professionalism are required.
- Prior experience with financial planning software and Morningstar analysis required; experience with Salesforce.com a plus.
- Outstanding communication skills as evidenced by the ability to understand financial data and communicate it in "lay man's" terms to all types of clients effectively is a must.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- CFP required.
- Appropriate securities licenses (Series 7, 65, or 66) and insurance licensing.

SALARY RANGE
- $90,000 - $125,000 plus commission
