About the Role

Under the direction and guidance of a licensed clinician, the therapist provides quality exercise and health education for patients in an Orthopedic and Neurology Rehab clinic, ensuring a safe, pleasant, and professional atmosphere. The therapist administers therapy treatments under the direct supervision of a licensed leader.

Responsibilities

• Establish and update exercise programs to address client/participant needs.
• Supervise and assist clients/participants with daily exercise sessions, ensuring safety.
• Provide effective instruction to clients/participants and their families through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training.
• Support the health education needs of the center.
• Assist therapists/providers in delivering effective treatment plans.
• Document patient response to treatment.
• Complete other clinical duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate ability to offer support and potential enhancements of services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Recreational Therapy, or Physical Education (Required).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire for Clinical Exercise Specialists working in Pulmonary/Cardiology Departments.
• Productive and efficient in daily operations.
