Responsibilities

• Supports the mission of JMC by configuring and supporting financial applications within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) software.
• Serves as a liaison between system end-users, operational leaders, additional support resources, and vendors to design, build, and optimize assigned applications.
• Collaborates with customers to analyze, test, and document and implement medium to high complexity activities of assigned software.
• Participates in planning, implementation, and go-live activities for the assigned application, including being on-site with the customer, gathering specifications, and tracking risk/issues and requests.
• Performs workflow analysis and design with input and guidance from key operational leadership.
• Facilitates workflow adoption on new processes.
• Participates in system testing events by executing scripts and accurately documenting and reporting any noted errors or deficiencies.
• Supports departments/end users during system upgrade and optimization activities.
• Provides support to formal training classes when necessary in the form of proctoring, materials preparation, or other tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

• Education: Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred with a focus in healthcare, business, or information systems.
• Experience: Prior analyst experience working with inpatient hospital billing systems, prior experience with Epic’s Resolute HB system a plus, strong understanding of the core functions and processes of the billing office, solid comprehension of revenue cycle management.
